An aluminium window (some suppliers write aluminum) is a frame fixed into the wall, one or more sashes and the glass. The frame and sashes are cut from aluminium profiles, and the profile you choose decides how big the window can be and how smoothly it runs.
Frame and sash
The outer frame is fixed and sealed into the opening, and the sashes slide or swing inside it. On sliding windows, drainage slots in the bottom track let rain and dust wash out, so keep them clear.
Profile ranges
Lighter domestic sections suit standard bedroom, kitchen and bathroom windows. Wide sliding sashes, tall fixed panes and shop windows need heavier sections so they stay stiff and run smoothly. We choose per opening and show it on the quote.
New builds and replacements
On new houses aluminium windows usually go in once the openings are built and plastered, so we quote from the plan and confirm each size on site. On older houses we take out the steel frames, make good the opening and fit aluminium, or you can keep steel with our steel windows.
