Welding repairs & maintenance for gates and steelwork.

We are a welding and metal fabrication workshop in Rasoko Ward, Gabane, so we fix the steel itself, not just the motor. Broken welds, sagging gates, worn wheels and bent tracks are repaired by welders, and we quote planned maintenance for homes, complexes and businesses across Botswana.

Welding repairs

We repair broken welds and damaged steel on gates, fences, burglar bars, trellidors, balustrades, stair rails, carports and frames. Where a section is too far gone, we cut it out and weld in new steel, then prime and paint it to protect the repair.

We also make the small steel items that often go missing on a job: handrails, frames, posts and brackets, made to size in the workshop.

Re-hanging sagging and dragging gates

A swing gate that drops or drags usually has worn hinges, a moved post or a frame that has sagged. We re-hang the leaf on new hinges, re-set or brace the post and add bracing to the frame where it needs it.

A sliding gate that sags at the far end or comes off its track often has weak frame sections or broken welds as well as worn wheels. Fixing the frame takes cutting and welding work: adding bracing, strengthening the bottom rail or rebuilding the frame. Our guide to a sagging sliding gate that keeps coming off its track explains the causes.

New tracks, wheels and guide rollers

Worn or seized wheels, bent or sunken track and guide rollers out of line are the most common reasons a sliding gate drags or jumps the rail. We replace wheels as a matched pair to suit the track profile, straighten or relay the track level on a sound base, and re-align or replace the top guide rollers. We add end stops and anti-lift parts if they are missing.

A gate that runs freely is easier on the motor and the battery, so this work often cures a gate motor that keeps reporting collisions. For motor faults, see gate motor repairs.

Preventive and corrective maintenance

Corrective maintenance is fixing what has already failed: a broken weld, a gate off its track, a damaged fence panel or a rusted section. Send a photo or video and we quote the repair.

Preventive maintenance means checking and servicing steelwork before it fails: cleaning and checking gate tracks and wheels, checking hinges, welds and fixings, touching up rust and paint on gates, fences, burglar bars and balustrades, and checking razor wire brackets. For complexes, schools, property managers and businesses we quote planned maintenance visits per site; the scope and how often we visit are agreed with you in the quote.

Workshop in Gabane, service across Botswana

In Greater Gaborone we come to site for repairs and maintenance. For other towns, send photos and a video first; we quote from them with travel included, and combining repair work with new items on one trip keeps the cost down. See all service areas. For contractor and tender work, see commercial & tenders.
