Steel gates & fabrication, made here in Gabane.

Tshipiworks is based in Rasoko Ward, Gabane. Every gate, fence panel, security gate and carport we sell is cut, welded and finished in our own workshop here — so for Gabane customers the trip to site is short, follow-ups are quick, and you are dealing with the people who actually build the job.

Sloping and rocky plots: what changes

Gabane is a village of close to 15,000 people (2011 census) in Kweneng District, about 15 km west of Gaborone, and many plots sit on uneven or rocky ground near the hills. That matters more for a gate than most people expect.

Sliding gates need a level run. If the driveway slopes across the opening, the track has to sit on a levelled concrete strip, or the gate has to be designed to clear the ground. On a steep drive, a swing gate that opens inwards and uphill may simply be the better choice — we will show you both options on the measure.

Rock slows down footings. Posts for fencing, carports and swing-gate pillars need proper footings. Where we hit rock, holes take longer to prepare, so we look at the ground before quoting rather than surprising you on install day.

Small jobs welcome. Being local, we also take on the smaller work: re-hanging a sagging swing gate, replacing gate wheels or a worn track, welding repairs, or adding a motor to a gate that is still sound.

Gabane questions, answered

What neighbours ask us most.

Where exactly are you in Gabane?

Our workshop is in Rasoko Ward, Gabane. Use the Google Maps link on this page, or WhatsApp +267 75 388 737 for directions.

Is the site measure free in Gabane?

Yes — measurements are free throughout Gabane and the rest of Greater Gaborone.

My driveway slopes. Can I still have a sliding gate?

Usually, yes. The track needs a level concrete strip across the opening, or the gate is designed to clear the ground. On a steep drive an inward, uphill-opening swing gate can work better — we will show you both on the measure.

Do you take on small repair jobs?

Yes. Re-hanging sagging gates, replacing wheels or tracks, welding repairs and adding motors to sound gates are all jobs we do locally.
