Metalwork, aluminium and site-establishment packages.
Main contractors on hotels, offices, retail and mixed-use projects usually let the metalwork and aluminium as separate subcontract packages. We take on these packages individually or together, from site establishment at the start of the job to balustrades and shopfronts at the end.

Aluminium windows, hinged, sliding, pivot and bifold doors, entrance doors and ground-floor shopfronts for retail, offices and hospitality, made to the window and door schedule.

International and regional contractors entering Botswana need reliable local subcontractors for packages that are faster and cheaper to make close to site. Botswana public tenders often require non-citizen contractors to subcontract part of the works to citizen-owned companies, and large private developments increasingly ask for local suppliers and SMMEs. We are set up to be that partner for steel and aluminium.

Our workshop is in Rasoko Ward, Gabane, within easy reach of Gaborone, the CBD and the airport area. We deliver and install anywhere in Botswana, including mines, lodges and remote sites.

Large developments need a lot of repeat metalwork: aluminium windows and shopfronts by the hundred, balustrades on every floor, service-yard gates, perimeter fencing, and welfare facilities for hundreds of workers during construction. We work in these sectors:

Botswana has several large projects in the pipeline. The biggest publicly announced one is New Botswana City, a mixed-use development in the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport Special Economic Zone by the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) and ALBADDAD Holding. Its first phase is an exhibition and convention centre, and the plans include international hotels, retail, offices and residential buildings. In October 2026 the President was reported as saying that construction would begin in November 2026.
Tshipiworks has not been appointed on that project. We are a local fabrication subcontractor based in Gabane, close to Gaborone and the airport area, available to main contractors and package contractors pricing work on developments like this one.

Fabricate & check
Work is fabricated in Gabane and checked against drawings before loading. Galvanising and powder-coating arranged as specified.
STEP 5
Install & hand over
Our team delivers and installs to your programme, clears snags and hands over.

Do you work as a subcontractor to main contractors in Botswana?+
Yes. We price and deliver steel, aluminium, fencing and site-unit packages for main contractors, developers and project managers, from a single item to a full metalwork package, anywhere in Botswana.
Is Tshipiworks citizen-owned?+
Yes. Tshipiworks is a division of Archgate Solutions (Pty) Ltd, which is 100% owned by a Botswana citizen. We can provide the CIPA company extract and director ID for citizen-subcontracting or local-content requirements.
What company documents can you provide for a tender?+
Our CIPA registration and company extract, a valid BURS tax clearance certificate, certified director ID, company profile and capability statement are available on request. Email info@tshipiworks.com with the list your tender requires.
Can you price from a BOQ and drawings?+
Yes. Send the BOQ lines, drawings and specification. We return itemised prices with clarifications and exclusions, and confirm lead times against your programme.
Do you hire mobile toilets and site offices for construction sites?+
Yes. We build mobile toilet units, guard rooms and site offices in our Gabane workshop and can supply them for hire or purchase for site establishment. Tell us the number of workers, the site location and how long you need the units.
Can you install site hoarding and perimeter fencing?+
Yes. We supply and install steel-framed hoarding, mesh and palisade fencing, razor wire and site gates for site establishment and for permanent perimeters at handover.
Do you do structural steel?+
We fabricate and erect light and medium structural steel such as canopies, shade structures, stairs, platforms, frames and supports to the engineer's drawings. Send the drawings and we will confirm what we can take on.
Are you working on New Botswana City?+
We have not been appointed on New Botswana City. We are a local fabrication subcontractor available to main contractors and package contractors bidding for work on large developments in Gaborone and the airport area, including that project.
Where are you based and how far do you travel?+
