Why steel
Steel beats aluminium when security is the point.
For expandable security gates, steel gives higher impact resistance and longer service life under forced entry. We cut, weld, powder-coat and hang custom-size units from our Rasoko Ward workshop in Gabane — so the gate matches your opening, not a catalogue SKU. Locals often ask for a “trellidor”; we build steel security gates / expandable steel grilles / burglar-proofing systems to that brief (we are not an official Trellidor® brand franchise).

What we fabricate
Expandable steel security for every opening.
From a single residential door to a commercial reception span — steel frames, lattice panels and locking gear built as a matched set. Related perimeter work lives on our Security Fencing page; aluminium entrance doors are on Aluminium Doors.
Retractable / Opening Trellidors
Expandable steel gates that stack aside for daytime access and lock across the opening at night.
Fixed Steel Security Screens
Permanent burglar-proofing where you want continuous protection without a sliding leaf.
Door Trellidors
Front doors, Dutch/stable pairs, patio sliders and interior passage doors — custom-fitted frames.
Window Security Grilles
Expandable or fixed steel protection for residential and commercial window openings.
Wide Patio & Veranda Spans
Large custom units for multi-panel patio doors and porch openings — steel built for the span.
Commercial Reception & Shopfront
Reception lobbies, offices and retail fronts — white, charcoal, bronze or black powder-coat.
Powder-Coat Finishes
Charcoal, matte black, bronze and white finishes that sit with aluminium windows and steel gates.
Locks & Hardware
Integrated lock cylinders and handles matched to the leaf — adjusted on site at handover.
SADC Export Builds
Workshop capacity for custom steel security gates shipped beyond Botswana into the SADC region.

Trellidors delivered and installed across Botswana
Every steel trellidor is made to size in our Gabane workshop and delivered and installed by our own team countrywide across Botswana: homes, rental blocks, offices, shops and clinics.
Outside Greater Gaborone, WhatsApp photos of each opening, rough widths and heights, whether you want fixed or retractable, and your town. We quote with travel included and confirm measuring arrangements with the quote. Ordering all the trellidors and burglar bars for a building in one batch means one installation trip.

Steel trellidor questions
Are you an official Trellidor® dealer?+
No. In Botswana many people use “trellidor” as the everyday name for expandable / retractable steel security gates. We fabricate custom steel security gates, expandable steel trellidors and burglar proofing in our own Gabane workshop — we do not claim Trellidor® brand franchise or licensing. Not sure whether you need a security gate or fixed bars? See burglar bars vs trellidors.
Why steel instead of aluminium?+
For security gates we prefer steel for strength and forced-entry resistance. Aluminium is excellent for lightweight doors and windows (see our aluminium doors page); for expandable burglar-proofing, steel is the durable choice.
Do you do windows as well as doors?+
Yes — doors and windows, fixed or opening/retractable, residential and commercial. Send photos of each opening for a combined quote.
Can you install outside Gaborone / export to SADC?+
Greater Gaborone gets free measure. We cover the whole of Botswana (travel quoted with the job) and can fabricate for SADC export — WhatsApp the town or destination country and we’ll confirm.
